I can't suggest anything on this. Its upto you. I guess you can wait till the end of this month. Sometimes they approve without sending FP notice as per some posts on immigration forums. you never know it is USCIS.... good luck..

This is forum for LC Sub cases. I'm on last phase of my L1B(5 years would complete on 2009) so my company a large corp evaluted my case as fit for LC Sub and applied I-140 on July 4th and 485 on July 27.
I have no status on my I-140/485 or 131 since got the Receipts. Got EAD.
Even after my FP the case also was not updated.
Question:
If you have filed your I-140 LC Sub are you seeing any progress on your file?
If yes, which date your I-140 was applied?
Was that standaline or Join filing with I-485?
Which Service center is handling your case?

Brief History: I am working for a Food Processing company (A) in R&D. Company A was my sponsor for GC. I have been on EAD since Oct 2007 (filed 485 during July-Aug 2007 time period) :) . My I-140 was approved Jan 2007. My GC application was started in Apr 2006 - Perm process. Also, i still have my H1B(Extension) valid until Apr 2010. Company A uses a consulting firm for roughly about 25 - 35% of R&D projects.
Reason to change: I believe this opportunity will have a significant change/growth to my career.
Questions: :confused: Can i change my job to the consulting firm using EAD? What are the consequences i should expect from USCIS? Does the Consulting company have to get involved with any Immigration fillings?
If i decide to work for the consulting firm, i will still be doing the same job for Company A but as a consultant + I will have additional projects with other Food Processing companies. I think labor application job description won't change (Company A to Consulting Firm) and this is where i struggle to understand the rules. Need your thoughts and Advice.

You can continue both. Company B cannot tell you to do withdraw other 485. Infact you shouldn't have told company B about 485 with company A unless your company B was willing to use AC21 to continue your GC process. Now they have reason to believe you might leave them for company A.

3. Not necessarily. At any time, whenever you file extension, the criteria is checked again. Means if the 140 is revoked after getting 3 year extension, then the next H1 filing will get rejected, since you don't have a pending 140 anymore. So the answer is, it depends on whether you have a pending/valid LC/140 at that time.

1. How do we need to pay for renewal? Fee will be 2 years fee or 1 year fee?
2. Is this one combined document with EAD/AP?

Lesson from this experience: Learn to handle delays. Take things in your stride. Do not make GC as end of your life. We can work anywhere and be happy, though US is a preferred destination.

Dont worry too much. Get your H1 extension with current employer even if it s a consultancy firm when you are on project. It wont be deied.
