guys, i had a petition going a few months back..where i was literelly begging people to sign - for I140 problems..and got about 100+ only...now I am hearing from people that tehy have 140 problems...many told me..oh..i don want to support u because my PD is 2005/2006 and i will get 140 b4 my PD is current..strange are the ways of the USCIS..but if we had gathered together as a group and sent 1000 signatures and generated 1000 phone calls to follow up...we wud be in a better shape...

Looks like NSC is processing i-140 in less than 4 months.
$1000 is a lot for Premium Processing and VSC is profiting a lot from this. They are running a business for sure....
Its only extensions which are a long time.
USCIS is self-funded from application fees. They don't get any other funding as far as I know. So, sure they are running a business.
I know its not cheap, but atleast there is a way. I have been in this long enough to know times when it took a long time without an option of premium processing.
You can always make your employer pay for the fees.

I posted this question on murthy.com and she ignored this question in her 2 last chat sessions on monday night.
I posted in the Greg siskind's FAQ organized by IV and I am hoping he will answer, to get some clarity to this.
My wife has OPT EAD and AOS EAD(485) and we are looking into
a. Would an AOS EAD invalidate OPT EAD automatically
b. If not, should any one be notified that we are presently pursing OPT EAD
c. Once OPT EAD expires would the switch to AOS EAD be automatic or Is there a process to switch to AOS EAD?
If any one has info, please share.

I have recently changed my job using AC21. My new employer has filed H-1B transfer and I also had two years of EAD
While filling up the I-9 form I have used EAD alien #, when I checked the emplyer HR they said that I-9 stays in the office and they do not send its copy to USCIS so my question is how USCIS knows that whether I am on EAD or H-1 B ?

Take copies of your I-94 front and back and then submit them at the airport you board the international flight out of the US. I don't think USCIS is ever going to find out about your income unless you disclose it.
Not filing tax returns is illegal no matter how small the income is. 5k is definitely big enough. I think you should go ahead and file tax returns atleast for 2009, so that you won't get into trouble with the IRS.
This is just my opinion.
My SSN and EID is tied to my business. I'm sure CIS has means to find out if they wanted to. Any other suggestions that don't involve lieing?

congratulations after all the hardships you had to wait for. Me too had to wait 4 years (48 months) just for my labor to be approved:) Hopefully 2009 should really be a Happy New Year if we all work hard together!

We are in process of preparing plan for 2008 that will include several items like Job fairs, Immigration lawyers conferences, Seminars by community leaders (from corporate and entrepreneurs ) , lawmakers meeting etc. These are some loft goals and the Tri State Leads in few days will be sending more details on it. You all will have roles to play in that.
