    • Today, my friend told me that there is new policy prohibiting employees from paying the H1B application fees for their employers. Has someone heard about this policy? If so, would you please provide me some more details on the issue? Where could I find the policy?

    I have got two offers. Both the employers are willing to help me apply for H1B, but I need to pay all the fees by myself. I think that is ok for me. But under this new policy, I am not sure whether this strategy would work out or not. I really very worry about this issue. Your kindly help is highly appreciated!! Million thanks!

    Prohibiting employees from paying the H1B application fees is not a new policy. It has always been there.

    However there is a new policy prohibiting employees from paying Labor related expenses in GC process.

    • I don't know about any of those lenses from personal experience, but for what it's worth, Bj�rn R�rslett rates the f/4 version at 2.5 out of 5 (on a D1x, which is similar in resolution to the D70), and doesn't have much praise for its image quality. I'd guess that the f/4-5.6 versions, being newer designs, should be better.

    I know, I saw it now and had a good laugh. Its just the job. I would have many more problems, besides GC, to consider if I were leaving her !!:)

    I wanted to find out if my wife's application could get into trouble because I left my employer who filed my GC application. Ideally, her case is dependent on mine and not directly to my employer, so I am thinking it should be fine. But wanted to get some expert opinions.

    • I am in a confused situation, any thoughts / guidelines are greatly appreciated..

    The question is : If my h1 is with company A and my GC is applied for future employment by company B, can I use EAD to take up full time employment with company C (or Self) ?

    The full story is : The client company, I am working with is processing my GC for future employment. 485 was applied and I received EAD. It has come up that the current employer has an agreement with the client that , the client should not employ any of their employees for 1 yr after the termination. So, I need to quit the current employment, work else where for a year and then join the GC sponsering company.The I140 will not be revoked.

    Since I am not currently working for GC sponsring company, does any of the AC21 issues matter ?

    In case of a job loss what are my options? By that I mean what kind of jobs should I look for on AC21. Also, can you switch multiple employers on AC21.

    Pl advise.

    Can I have a hiatus between losing job and getting a new one on AC21 or I need to have an offer in hand before using AC21.

    • Good morning! Please clarify for my case details given below :
    Labor approved, I140 denied for ability to pay. Employer had filed MTR with current tax returns documents. The labor has been filed & approved less than 180 days and I140 pending with MTR. H1B expires in 15th May 2011 completing all six years and no recapture periods left.
    The questions are:
    1. Can I file an extension of H1 with pending MTR and with less than year old labor application?
    2. Is it legal to stay in US after May 2011 while MTR is pending and H1 extension is filed before expiry?
    3. In case, if the MTR is denied, would the illegal/out of status will start from 15th May 2011 or from the date the MTR is denied?

    • I recently found out that someone had stolen my credit card information to purchase items online. I have since then closed that credit card and went ahead and put a fraud alert for 90 days on my credit report. I don't believe my SSN was stolen, but I want to check my credit report and also for protection have the alert so that no one tries to apply for loans etc. using any of my information.

    Will having the fraud alert have an impact on my 485 filing in any way? Let me know what the best process is to handle this if it does have an impact on 485 background checks, and pending green card approvals etc.

    I have no criminal history.
