- The mental effort required to plan the logistics of such a huge event
- The physical energy required to make all this a possibility
- The amount of time the members working on this are sacrificing.. time that they could have spent with family or other gainful things
- The financial impact this is causing to the invloved members

Secondly, the current mess we are in was caused by the "sub prime" mortgage loans. If you know what "sub prime" means, then you probably know the areas where these houses were purchased. Have you seen the neighborhoods or the areas where these houses are foreclosed? A majority of us won't even drive through there, leave alone buying houses there. So obviously, us buying homes is not going to solve this economic mess. If you still insist, then you perhaps need to take a class on economics 101.

Firstly thanks for the great show at DC, we are really beginning to bring this issue to the fore front. I could not attend myself but I did make a small contribution as a token of my support. However we should capitalize on the momentum and follow this up with some thing more substantial so that every one knows that this was not a one off spark but is a clear growing fire.
I guess (just by reading posts on IV) one point which came out pretty clearly was that IV has good support in some regions and really very little support in some others (support as in visible support, where people are willing to show up for rallies, contribute to IV�s efforts etc), I guess this pretty much means that we need to focus on building the regional chapters of IV, like have strong/formal leadership and goals of each of the chapters.
I was also thinking that we can possibly learn a lot from the protests by undocumented immigrants. They had record turnouts in their rallies and most of their people stayed away from work to take part in the efforts when ever there was a call for the same.
I thought which keeps hitting me is about a simultaneous rally in all major US cities? I know that undocumented immigrants did this and that really worked for them and once again this will build our regional chapters coz the onus will clearly be on each of the regional chapters to achieve targets (target in terms of membership, turnout in rallies, fund raisings etc ) set by IV
Some of the advantages of having simultaneous local rallies is that
1) No travel expenses � (So that we can spend more money on media and lobbying than travel expenses)
2) No need to time spent on travel � ( Better turnouts)
3) Comfort � every one can just go to a local rally point (Better turnouts)
4) Stronger regional chapters � (work at grass root levels)
Also if this can be done on a Saturday then I am sure the turn out will be much better.

Look back and recall the time when you told yourself that if you ever made it to the US, you are going to visit place A or do thing B. Go kayaking, enjoy the countryside, join a hiking group, play some sports and etc. US have lots to offer us if we just let go and start enjoying life. Good Luck!!

I think it all started in 2007. As you guys know there were mass applications filed in 2007 from everyone who were current including EB2/ROW/I/C and EB3 /ROW/I/C.

Otherwise mere increase in number of applications should not cause adverse impact to processing time. I am saying this based on my personal experience working for the state gov. with unemployment benefit system where the claims increased by 3 time, last year...and there was not much of an impact with regards to delaying in printing of checks every week. Only the batch jobs ran longer....but everything was streamline in couple of weeks after the spike.

I think the AZ is the right thing to force illegal immigrants out of AZ since its bringing the economy down to its knees.
Moreover the AZ law is excatly the same as the current Federal law, its just that AZ is implementing it thru a state law, so why shd the feds object to it.
If you folks think that AZ law is wrong then why should other sanctuary states who prevent illegals from been sent back be allowed to pre-empt the fed law , even these states should be challenged.
We legal citizens are required by fed law to carry legal docs at any time(even though u may not like it), AZ is just enforcing the law

It is not about the objective of the law. It is about intentions behind it and the effectiveness of it. Sure, throw illegals out.. But make sure noone who are following the law is suffered because of another law. You live here, then you know! SB1070 is not the way to go.
