i have an 80gb ipod classic, when i eject it from my computer it says "ok to disconnect" ... and then a meter goes across the screen and it goes into the normal (usable) screen.

this isnt even a big issue its just sort of a pet peeve that i have, for the record i usually just wait the 5 seconds for the meter to fill. its just weird that it tells me its ok before the meter starts.

Practically speaking...
If they limit the number of iPods you can transfer the movies onto, how are they going to differentiate between an additional iPod and one you replaced for a newer one? What I mean is, if they would only allow for a transfer to 5 iPods, and let's say you have 5 and one breaks, or eventually you replace them all for newly released ones, how will they be able to differentiate that from an "additional 6th iPod"?
They entire scheme is flawed. Practically speaking.

Uh, maybe they'd do it the same way they enforce the "5 computers" rule? You would authorize your 5 iPods and if one breaks you would tell iTunes to forget about all iPods and then re-link your current 5 iPods to the system.
I think they SHOULD do this but it should be a high number like 15 or 20 iPods. A user would NEVER run into that limit but it would prevent someone from buying a movie and selling it to hundreds of people for a few bucks each and copying it onto their iPods.
A number like that would stop the big-time offenders without the average consumer ever noticing.
(Based on this theory, the current "5-computer" rule is a bit too tight. It really should be 10 computers.)
EDIT: I also thought of something Apple could steal from the Zune. The "iPod movie limit" COULD be limited to 5 iPods if thre was a "share" feature that worked like the Zune's wireless sharing. That is, it's encrypted to expire in 3 days. So, I could authorize 5 of my own iPods to always have the movie but I could ALSO choose to put it on my friend's iPod but his would only work for 3 days. Then, just like the Zune it would ask him if he wants to buy it.
This would be the equivilant of "loaning a DVD." It works out as free advertising in the end...SOME of those friends will end up buying the movie.

BMWs are sort of like Mustangs with me. I'm always sort of indifferent to them when new ones are released, but as years go by and they get older, I start to really like them. The E39 M5 is no different. It is in my Top 10 favorite cars of all time, easily. It rides that fine line between sport and luxury so well....Totally agree. The E39 M5 is a modern classic. I almost bought a used one in but opted for a new E46 M3 instead. Sadly, I don't have that anymore but I do miss it.

Agreed. This doesn't sound correct. I have a corporate discount and added the feature. I still have the discount.
When this initially was announced and after holding for a long time while the rep checked, ATT told me verbally that the dicounted $29.95/450 min plan would go to regular $39.95 regular price if I wanted the unlimited mobile to mobile with unlimited texting but it in fact wasn't the case. I was able to do it online. The first day or so of the promotion the site was giving me an error whenI tried to make the change but I was able to do it on day 2 or 3. I verified earlier today that my discount rate was still in tact and I had the unLim Mob to Mob.

Jobs (and most of us here) are missing the point. It's not about getting a release window for the next iteration of FCP, it's about running a business and the need to plan according to a supplier's roadmap. This is one area where Apple totally blows: without awareness of basic features, likely timelines, and a clear product commitment, it's nerve wracking and borderline irresponsible to use Apple products in the backbone of any business.

If a product is claimed to be for professional use, then give the professionals the information they need to plan and run their business.
