With the current market crisis, you never know when you will be out of job.
Though I have my H1B valid till 2011( my I140 is approved and is already over more than six months, 485 is pending), Most of the people suggesting me to apply for EAD.

1) What are the procedures I have to maintain ( in connection to USCIS and my green card application pending) if I change employer?

2)Can I also work for multiple employers on EAD?

Does anyone have an idea about CP.

1. My 140 is filed and pending. I did not go through premium

2. How to get the CP appointment?

3. Since we dont file 485 if we prefer CP, what happens if the visa dates retrogress,but you have a CP appointment?

4. Is there a way to secure something in CP while the dates are current. ie, in AOS, just filing is enough to avoid several hassles. Is there anything like this in CP.

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!
I am so frustrated that I feel like going back to home country now.

Do I have to wait until labor is approved for location B or can I start working from monday and labor(for location B) can come in 10-15 days thereafter.I am a PT.

Thanks for my previous response. I am on H1B and between projects. I have an offer to work for a couple of days for a company other than the one holding my H1B. They said they are not gonna report to the IRS as its an hourly job for 2 days and the number of hours are not going to accumulate enough for the IRS. But they need my SSN or tax-payer ID to run their payroll. I am gonna receive my dues as a simple check (like a rebate check with just the total amount showing up & NOT a paystub). Please let me know if I can work for them or not.

HI,

I have an H1b approval notice but as it clear the duration of the visa validity starts in October, today being 27 june and three months away from start of visa duration can i travel to India next month ( july) and be back in August as i am still on OPT and working full time in America now. I have got an oppointment with a consulate in India. Once i have got a stamp on my passport will i be permitted to enter back immediately or only in october, i need to make decision to travel now or later as if i am allowed back immediately it will affect my work.

My wife has H1 visa approved under Consular Processing from Company A, so she is still under H4. She got another offer from Company B so we applied for another H1B before H1B quota expired. It is under process.

1 ) we applied for COS from H4 to H1 By Company A by premium processing.

2 ) Company B H1B from H4 is also under process.

Does the order of outcome from either petetions affect another petetion. For example if companie A petetion is approved and then afterwards company B petetion is rejected. will she be in H1 status.
