    I went to infopass yes'day, mainly to confirm my priority date. My employer used RIR labor and ported to PERM. Not sure of the PD, so took infopass.

    She printed the screenshot and given me.

    I took an info pass last week to check the status of my case. Specifically to check whether the interfile is success or not. IO at USCIS office mentioned that she cannot check whether my case is in EB2 or EB3. I am surprised to hear that. Gurus any has this kind of experience?

    Also, She mentioned that my case is assigned to an Officer on August 13th. Do any one has any info how many days(on average), an Office will take to approve a case. Any info. is helpful to me and all.

    Overall the Field Office people were polite.

    • Were you rejected for EB2 because yours was not equal to US Masters or because you didnt have 5 years after yours bachelors degree? I guess you are aware that the experience you gain with your employer who filed your GC cannot be included in the 5 years. I think you have a fair chance if you only have to be equivalent to US Bachelors degree.

    My wife's EAD Expires on Aug 18th, I filed on May 20th. On previous occasions I have got it renewed within a months time. The only difference this time was that we have AP, so the e-File options were different.


    Is anyone experiencing delays in the same time frames...

    What is the option if the EAD doesn't come back by Aug 18th. Can I go for temporary extension at the local USCIS Office.

    • thanks, it sure clarifies things.. and from what I read, these applications work in parallel. RFE on one application has no efffect on the other one. you just have to wait for one of them to come through, mostly probably EB1A. once you get approved on EB1A, they will cancel the remaining 2 applications. Good luck..

    • First of all what you want honorable Minister to do. Ask him to talk to US Congress to pass the law so that we get GC faster. Let say he speaks on our behalf. All I see happening is things getting worse rather than getting better. Those who are on the other side of the table will get a point to oppose to those who are supporting us. This is what going to happen. Every provision that is supporting our cause will be opposed by the fact that it has been done under the influence of foreign Government in this case it will be Indian.     Except July Fiasco , I don't see dates ever moving forward in July VB; but they do move in August VB.
    Has anything changed in spillover laws in last 1 year - which will explain this no movement in July but in August?

    I too am in the same club, having a priority date of Sept 2001. I am still awaiting my I-140 approval, filed in March 2007.

    Hoping things would be sorted out sooner rather than later....I am in EB-3....How about U??

    I have been on H1B for 3000 days so far and I am still waiting for GC, (filed for 140/485 in November) and I thought I have been waiting for too long, but it looks like one of these people might actually qualify for Guinness Book.

    Just a quick update

    Today my checks got cashed and from the back of the checks I got the receipt numbers. I was able to track these numbers on USCIS site and the EAD application for myself and my wife is now pending at TSC.

    So the mailing address to Mesquite, TX turned out to be the correct location for me to file...




    I do not know of the SanDiego breakers 10k. I will look it up in runners world. 10K's should be lot of fun. I will support you if you take the lead with this. I can get my workout buddies and my family to participate in these events with me. I was thinking of signing up for the SanDiego rock and roll half marathon in summer but it would be brutal to run 13.1 miles in SanDiego in May. I am going to be signing up for the Nike Women Half Marathon in SanFrancisco this year as well. Count me in to support with this event, getting people to participate, fundraising etc. Some of my friends are certified fitness trainers and they teach in fitness clubs around OC. We could use their help for sure.
