It tightly couple things that should be 100% independent. Every other OS works hard to avoid this problem. It should be the case that even an intensionally malicious program can effect the operation of another program. Windows works only because you work hard to keep intensionally malicious software off the computer. This effort should not be required

It's not a particularly pretty building but it's certainly one with some history around it. ... But leaving the building to the elements with no maintenance is in my opinion wrong, immoral and a disregard of what property ownership should be about. ... Fact is, there just isn't that much desirable acreage in that region suitable for a billionaire's estate; "go somewhere else" holds little traction when proximity to Apple's campus is vital and there isn't much else suitable.

So I got a call from the investigator in charge of my case earlier tonight. They had done a lot of background work on the house I had suspected. A lot of pawn shops in the area had the house down for a bunch of random video games, DVDs and jewlrey. This gave the cops enough info combined with my info to get a warrant.
They went to the house and a lady answered the door. She was more than willing to let the police in to search the place. After searching, they came up with nothing. Not even a single game, controller, anything. The house is a rental house. The guy with the pawn record had moved out two months ago. His lease was up December 31st and this new lady had moved in during January.
This basically leaves the police back at square one. There are no leads, no other suspect houses in the neighborhood. Except for Microsoft.
Basically, all Microsoft has to do is give them the IP address that my XBox is using and the police have the ability to do the rest. They can contact the ISP and track down where they are connecting to the internet.
Microsoft, however, will not do this. I have called them numerous times as have the police. Microsoft claims they have no way to track an IP address when you sign on to XBox Live. No, they licensed out their OS to everyone and anyone who could slam together a box and then set about strong-arming box-makers to use Windows and only Windows.
Plus, PCs were and are cheap.
The success of Windows has NOTHING to do with it's quality as an OS, and has everything to do with their comfortable universal licensing racket.

I was all for having an aluminum design, but not if it looks like that. That thing is just ugly. I like this concept the most, just without the circle around the Apple logo, and none of those ugly colors like the pink, blue, green, etc.

As for your code, you still have not really given us a clear indication of at what stage you are now and what isn't working. Now we know you want to do a sort of count down timer. I'm guessing you're trying to make a cooking timer kind of app since you said you were a pastry chef and that was what your first app was based on. Is this correct ? (<-- not a quiz question).
Now, what is not working ? Is the timer getting created ? Is it calling the method identified by the target and selector attributes when the interval you specified ends ? Is it repeating or not repeating (depending on how you set the repeat parameter on it) ?
When a timer repeats, it will simply call back the selector in the target specified.
Does your button that "cancels" it call your cancel method ? What have you done to check this ?

The third house is this 80 year old man who I would guess still has a black and white TV and can walk about as fast as a snail. Don't think he's the burglar type.

Right now, I'm just hoping that whoever has it doesn't try to get rid of it before the cops can get over there and check things out.

I would try calling XBL support and asking for their supervisor, and that person's supervisor, & so on. Explain to them, (stay firm on your point) the reason you need it and what you can do with it. If you need to, I would mention you are in the process of obtaining a warrant for the IP. As you already know, them not knowing the IP is complete and utter BS.
