    i was suffered fm TB long time back around 5 yrs back .... i am scared whether due to this reason my I-485 gonna be rejected. I already went trought the full 9 months medication at that time and been fully cures as my own mamaji was a TB specialist.

    Can someone suggest me if they have gone through the same case. And if i need any documents to let them know that i am fully cured because my X-ray shows that spot/scars which says that i had TB and my mamaji told me that the scars will never go because of the medcation thing?? Please help

    In general, AP is not related to employment (it is a conditional admittance aka parole into US boundaries till the conditions are resolved), so the PoE CBP should not ask about employment. However, as your husband has been away for a long time, the CBP officer may be curious to know why and what is the purpose of entering US after such a time lag.

    In such a scenario, your husband should have a strong reasoning as to why he is entering US. Some of such reasons are a) employment b) having immediate family in US or c) owning house/property that needs visitation.

    If your husband has one such reason, it may be helpful to gain entry into US, but pl do consult your lawyer...good luck

    • I currently work for a leading film company in the US and hold a senior position under a O1 non-immigrant visa. Last year I applied for my GC under EB3, which was the choice made by my company . My priority date is Jan 2008 and I recently had my I140 approved. However, I have heard that given my work history and experience, I may possibly qualify as EB1 if I did not apply through company sponsorship. My question is, can I simply cancel my current application and re-apply myself under EB1 using my own lawyer? I am really hoping that I can change this category as the EB3 situation seems to be completely ridiculous.

    I have been looking at several options on a new lens. I don't have a big budget to go out and buy the lens I really want, and looking around it seems that Olympus doesn't have a very wide selection of affordable lenses. I have an Olympus E-Volt 500, and I did see that I can get an adapter ring that would allow me to use any lens that will work with a Nikon Digital Camera. My question is....would using an adapter ring to use other brands of lenses detract from the quality of my images, and would it take away from the speed of the lens?

    • I am working on an H1B visa for one of the world's largest retailers. I am in my 5th year of my H1 visa status and it expires in 2011. If an LCA is filed before July 2010 which is a 365 day point I will be allowed to extend my H1 for another 3 years while my Green Card is in process.

    The situation is that the advertisement has been done in NJ and they received 100 applications which makes it difficult to support their statement of me being the most capable one beyond all US citizens. So they have decided now to advertise once again in a remote location in NJ and another in VA. Is it ok to file the LCA for a single employee from 2 different locations. Are there any risks involved? Do I need to move to VA in case it is approved before the whole process is done? or can it be avoided till I get my Green Card as I'm working for the same employer in a different state?

    Any info and advice is much appreciated.

    • - H1B is good as long as employer-employee relationship is maintained, which in your case should be fine
    - You may have issues with 140 approval (Just my opinion, I may be wrong)
    - If you are considering H1 transfer, that may have issues as you may not have latest paycheck..

    I am one of those cases where no one can get my name right. This time my visa stamp has an FNU against my first name.

    I have a valid SSN, valid California DL and a valid California marriage certificate. The I-797 is not a blanket petition. It has my name as I wish it to be. I used my I-797 to get my DL couple of years back.

    The question is, will the FNU create any problems at the port of entry? Will it create problems when I renew my H1-B later this year?

    How would I enter my name on the I-94? As on the petition or as on the visa?
