This is one of the best run and gun camera stabilizers that doesn't require you to balance and take a lot of time to learn how to use it... I even use it from time to time with my hvx 2000. I agree a PM is more suitable and reckon I'll buy one within 12 months but as a cheaper alternative the Mini makes a great stop-gap.

so, we're going to be running some macTV ads over the next few weeks, and i thought instead of just linking to our iTunes listing or our plain website, some mini-promos would be cool.

what do you guys think? we aren't going to do this for every video..just some hand picked ones that we think people will like.
mm, anyway, i just wanted some opinons on the creative side. i think it gets the job done nicely (the page) but it is a little tall..there's not too much i can do about that..is the subscribe button clear enough?
like i said, i'd appreciate any opinions you may have.. :)

For my present situation, t sounds like basically the whole setup is pretty low grade; I've got a slow external hard drive & wifi is just plain slow to begin with. I might end up getting an additional hard drive for my desktop and using the "sharing" option as suggested. Trying not to spend much money =)

OK... Deleting Ituneshelper did not work. My IMac still won't sleep... Any other ideas. However, the IMac boots much faster now!

There's a risk that the :apple:-logo will break. Make sure it's protected. How much does your head weigh, btw?
I just purchased the base model 27" last night and had the same query. A friend confirmed that if only using for photo/video editing, 512mb is enough, RAM upgrade is more important which you can do in future.
So the GPU btw 512mb/1GB doesnt make alot different ?
I think to get MarBookPro add RAM to 8GB (more portable usage for travel)
13-inch: 2.7 GHz or 15-inch: 2.0 GHz ? (main for H.264 & Photo edit) AdobeCS5/FCP/LR/AP3

The resolution is set at what the monitors are. I am not sure what you mean by setting it to "the same as the computer"....?
This issue happens regardless of what programs are running. The program you see on the screenshot is Safari, with www.purple.us (the site has an embedded video). But this problem happens when Safari isn't running at all. In fact, it happens when I have quit out of all running apps (aside from Finder, obviously)

I say go for it. All signs are pointing towards the big improvements this year being in software updates. Will the new iPhone have faster specs and a better camera? Yeah. Will it be dramatically different than the i4? I don't really think so. I think the i5 will have a few hardware upgrades and a LOT of software upgrades that the i4 will also enjoy.

Sorry haven't had much time, started coding last night again.
Yes I think I have the total solution.
The first part, the masking, I've managed to recreate with a 'RenderMask' (CCRenderTexture). An example can be found here:

This works nicely. I'm keeping track of a "blastSprite" array wich I blend with the barrierSprite on the RenderLayer.
For the second part (the pixel detection -> transparent/color), I'm going to use a hack on CCTexture2d: CCTexture2dMutable. This is a extended class with a very fast 'pixelAt' function. Haven't had the time to test it, hopefully tomorrow.
