Second the benefits and hands on training is incredible and they use you and train you so that you will be ready to work at 1 Infinity Loop or Maden, NC at the billion dollar facility. Plus they give you all the training in the world to be a teacher, educate another, work for other companies using Mac products and the list goes on and on. Yes they have an intense application process but once you're in with Apple you connections will never seise to grow. The atmosphere as well is fun, exciting and different than any other store.

Have to agree with everyone here. Bought ram to max out my dual 533, my dual 1.8 and this dual amd x2 here. Customer service is great, shipping is quick. Have yet to RMA anything.

Yes for each inbox you have, select it and issue form the menu Mailbox->Rebuild

You should rebuild mailboxes every so often. Especially after you have deleted a bunch of messages.

Since both drives are internal, you can indeed dedicate one drive to Windows.

If you plan on using it frequently and feel like opening it, you can upgrade the ram and stick an ssd in for a significant boost in responsiveness.

Other than that, you could put Plex on it to replace the AppleTV, or use it as a file/webserver, etc.

a cool key combo i accadentially discovered not to long ago is the command + ~ this will cycle through the open windows of the current program. so if you have 3 windows in safari open it will only cycle through them and not go to another program.

Actually its the ` not ~, since ~ would require the Shift key :D

why exactly did i pay $1500 to attend if they're going to make the videos available free less than a week after the event?

my thoughts on the sessions...one added bonus to attending though is the labs...getting 1 on 1 feedback, review, etc...is almost worth the price...not quite, but almost.

I've just finished setting up my recently acquired Tangerine 400Mhz DV iMac (which im writing this message from). It has Panther loaded with all the latest updates.

I managed to stick in a new 256Mb RAM chip for �25 bumping the total to 320Mb - runs very well.

I discussed the possibility of upgrading the hard drive which I will do when I can to a 40Gb 7200rpm, but the 10Gb does the job at the moment.

I wanted to know if there are any optimization tips on Panther which can help to speed up the performance of the unit.

i dont find importing that slow in LR. Do you use the actual LR import function? I normally just use the finder to access my memory cards and copy them over to the folder i want them in on my HDD and then I just tell LR to sync my working/imported folder in the Pictures folder and its no more than a couple seconds.

I just installed the Intel 320 (120 GB) and I must say that I'm amazed.. No set-up besides the TRIMenabler patch

I'm going to install my brand new Intel 320 (120GB) tonight. Should I "zero out" before I install the MacOS? Should I enable TRIM support??
