In UK today Tony Blair acknowledged the immigration issue that Indian are facing. In UK Indians were able to escalate the issue to the highest level in 2-3 months. We have been trying to escalate it past 12-15 months, but still not yest acknowledged by anyone. We need to analyze that how they were able to excalte it, but we are not able to do anything.

I renewed online on July 29th. In the online confirmation receipt, it was mentioned that i would get a biometrics appointment notice. So i didn't send photos along with supporting documents. It is been more than 30 days, i didnt get any biometrics appointment. So i called USCIS and the customer service person filed a service request for biometrics appointment. Yesterday i got an email response from USCIS as below:
"The status of this service request is:
A biometrics appointment notice is not required for your I-765 application. Your case is being processed within our normal processing times."
Now i'm confused about what they are going to do for photos? Will they send a RFE for photo? Should i wait for RFE or Proactively send photos? If anyone send the photos alone?

Its seems that my approved EAD card lost from mailbox (seems like post man delivered it in diff mail box instead of mine).. It�s been more than 15 days of approval but no card in the mail.
I contact customer service and they said wait for 30 days otherwise file new one. I am not sure what are the option I have if I won�t receive my card on time? My existing EAD is expiring within next 25 days. Is there any way that I can get my card back or USCIS issue new card without filling new one?

Due to the economic downturn there aren't many companies sponsoring GCs for employees. I doubt it would be more than 20 to 30k per year from now. This leaves 100-110k visas available every year for retrogressed countries like india and china
if there 300-400k pending GC applications in all categories then shouldn't all of us get our GC in next 3-4 years?

I called USCIS and spoke to Nebraska IO and she said they are sorry some of these notices went out in error. She checked my case and said I am set and no need to panic.

Im july 5th filer .NSC_CSC_NSC.got my EAD on 20th december07.AP still pendind at CSC (RFE).opened SR for FP in october and got FP notice next day .Obvously SR had nothing to do .SR was replied after 45 days and says "status of I-485 USCIS is waitinf biometrics information to produce permanent residency card .I had filed 140 and 485 conc.and my PD is current .I had seen lot of NSC_CSC_NSC got their FP notices in mid november .

If company is promoting and Apply for EB2, then the PD should be Promotion Date. Because EB2 qualification starts only after promotion. One cannot go back and get old PD and attach it to EB2 after promotion. That is unfair to people, who are already promoted and applied before. Hope this makes sense.

People travelling to India, especially from the West coast should fly via the Pacific. Asian airlines such as Thai, Cathay and Asiana all offer better fares, better service and faster transit times.Plus these countries are not trying to fleece people by requiring that they get a "Direct Airside Transit Visa". It happened with my family when they reached the airport to board their flight on Virgin , they were not allowed.I then bought tickets on Thai for the next day. To compound the pain, Virgin imposed a "No Show" fee on each ticket despite going to the airport. I think it would be best to avoid most European carriers, if for no other reason but they offer higher fares, terrible service, long transit times and last but not the least; the scam of the century(Airport Transit Visas). What do they think the passengers will try to do, jump off the walkway and make a run for it so they can settle illegally in U.K!I think the U.K govt is running out of ways to make money so they have found the most ridiculous way to make a few extra pounds from people foolish enough to travel on one of their carriers! If IV is successful with this 485 filing ability by 2/15 deadline thing... when does it become law and more importantly how soon can we file for 485 (before or after the CIR wars in Mach-September)?
I guess it becomes law on or before 2/15, as Pres must sign these bills in to law on or before 2/15. Not sure when we can file for 485. :(

I'm in the same boat, FPd on 9/20 no LUD so far. Besides calling FBI FP phone number and checking with them if the results have been sent to USCIS you can't do anything other than waiting. FP has nothing to do with name check.
Some people got LUD after FP and some didn't ( like me). Please do a Google search "FP no LUD" and you will see various forums in , Immigrationportal, IV and murthy talking about the same and there is no black and white answer. Good news is some people even got green card without any update on the LUD.
