My knowledge in this issue is limited, but looking at above posts, I have two things to tell you:
1. It may be possible to convert to EB2, clearly it is not easy and it takes time. EB3 clearly has a longer wait than EB2, but the conversion process takes time as well (even if everything is well in line, you are looking at 1.5-2 yrs at least).
2. Whether you convert to EB2 or not, chances are, you will be still in line till immigration reform comes and kicks in. Please participate in all efforts to make sure that there are some good provisions for legal immigrants in immigration reform. If all of our efforts work, you surely will get your greencard soon, whether you convert to EB2 or not.

Dear Core IV members. It is clear how tirelessly you have worked, let alone the time and money you spent, sitting in tht comfort of our homes and using our credit cards to make a small contribution of 200 dollars twice or thrice is pales in comparison to what the core mebers have done. Look at things you can see..we came on shustermans newsletter this month, we came on NBC nightly news,.. and dont forget there are things which are happening that we cannot see. I am in the same boat. Sent my application for EAD and AP renewals on 06/01. Received at phoenix lock box on 06/03. No updates yet. My EAD is expiring in the last week of july.

Does any one know how mant days it takes to get denail notive .I-140 denied on April 22 and says notice mailed but didnt recieve yet .Both emploter and attorney havent recieved any thing yet .Is this Normal ?
Talash, this is not normal. Your notice could have been lost in the mail. Ask your attorney to contact USCIS and explain. Also employers can request a courtesy copy. So also ask your employer to request one. USCIS will not entertain any request from you, since I140 is a employer filed petition.

With the new rule on FBI name checks, a potential 47K with current PDs could get their GS's soon. I wonder how much of a shift we will see in the PD's from now, after the 47K is not taken into account. I would predict a minimum of atleast a year jump, or am I being optimistic. :confused:

If you can get job in detroit area you can do this. You wont pay any more tax than you would have made with same income in canada.

C09 means you're are applying for EAD based on pending I-485 application.
Regarding Section and PD, I am not sure of the impact of that. Let's wait for others who have knowledge about that to answer. What I believe is that these two fields are not that important in EAD processing. EAD is processed according to EAD Receipt Date, not PD.

Canadian Border is like an hour nad half drive for me. I can drive up to border but i don't have a canadian visa. So i will be denied an entry and if i return back will i get a new I-94?

Generally when you are travelling by road to canada they do not issue new I-94s. You have to be in Canada for atlease a week or so to ask for a new I-94. I travelled on business few times. They never gave me new I-94s saying I have been there only for a night. I think, the I-94 attached to your H1 extension should be valid till that H1 expires.
Years ago(1999), my wife's I-94 expired, because at the airport the immigration office entered wrong date. We never verified. We were going by the H4 validity. After the expire date, I spoke my lawyer he was prepared to file for new I-94 but asked for 750USD. I went to the local immigration office in Boston and they corrected it without any issue.
Very recently as last week, we were coming from Canda after spending a week. We crossed the border by ferry, my wife's passport is due to expire in couple of months, her current I-94 is valid for 2 years. We told the office that we do not need a new I-94 and he was OK with that.
So check with the local immigration office, but only after getting a new passport.
