If it suits you...! Princess Eugenie looked stunning in a corseted red gown by Vivienne Westwood at Sir Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball, which was similar to the Alexander McQueen dress she wore to Royal Ascot earlier this month
She won praise from fashion's fiercest critics when she arrived at Royal Ascot last week in a plunging, corseted Alexander McQueen dress.
So it's little wonder Princess Eugenie decided to attempt to recreate her Ascot success by wearing an incredibly similar red number to Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball.
The 21-year-old princess looked stunning in the Vivienne Westwood full-length gown, which was corseted to accentuate her tiny waist and feminine curves.
Eugenie teamed the dress with a pair of gold earrings, a nude-coloured clutch bag and matching nude peep-toe heels.
However, she had some competition to be the centre of attention from her older sister Princess Beatrice.
Beatrice, 22, also looked incredible in a nude Elie Saab net and flower gown, pulled in at the waist to highlight the extent of her dramatic weight loss.
Family night out: Eugenie attended the annual fundraising event with her sister Princess Beatrice and mother Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York
The royal is almost unrecognisable in a red Vi after shedding an astonishing amount of weight over the past year.
She was spurred into losing her puppy fat by pictures which showed her wearing a tight blue bikini in the Caribbean in 2008.
However, Beatrice said she was not ready for the barrage of criticism she received following the shots.
Lady in red: Eugenie won rave reviews from fashion's fiercest critics for her McQueen dress at Ascot
Svelte: The dress highlighted Eugenie's slim figure and drew attention to her feminine curves
She told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘It was such an unflattering bikini and I've got one that's so much nicer, so I could have kicked myself for wearing it.
'I thought people were a bit mean, although I know it comes with the territory. The trouble is, I don't have much confidence so it can be quite upsetting. I could probably do with losing the odd pound though, so perhaps it is the kick I need.'
Beatrice, who has faced a battle with her weight similar to that of her mother Sarah Ferguson, has previously put her transformation down to trainer Nadya Fairweather, whose help she enlisted in the lead-up to the London Marathon.
