I am planning to apply EAD on my own as I could no longer afford to pay my expensive lawyer, but there I am not sure how to answer question 13 in the form which says, "Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS? Since I was and still am on H1, should I answer yes? Please help. Thanks.
You can e-file(online) for EAD and AP. I applied online and received EAD within 45 days. I had to go to ASC for fingerprinting again though. The answer to that question is No if you are applying for EAD for the first time.

This brings up an interesting possibility for me. My first I-140 has been approved over email (awaiting physical receipt), although the Successor in Interest I-140 is pending.
Does the I-140 receipt always contain the A#? I will have to wait to see the physical receipt notice!

I totally agree we need money to run this website and I also agree that we Desis never pay for quality and never ever for service.

Our best bet is to partner with groups/org (hi-tech lobby) that have as members big firms that are impacted by this. This would give us a more directed approach on opposing.

Is it true that in some cases after you file for AC21, CIS would send a RFE for the financial details of the new company (to stablish that the new company can pay you - company tax details).
I think I heard this on the last IV attorney conference call with Attorney Prashanti. So if that's is true, what if the company does not want to send this kind of confidential information to a third party attorney (your attorney)?
Or if the company is a big one they may not want to help you with these details at all. You know, they may not want to be bothered with that sort of hassle.

I am quite sure you by this time know that "the security clearnce" has become the most secretive processes in the GC process. You were right when you have mentioned people would like to get to the next process. Yes, I was of the opinion that the labour clearance was the only hurdle in the GC process. When my I-485 was current and my case was not cleared than I realized how serious the "security clearance process" was. Interestingly many people have been stuck in the process. (Please take a look at the link I have posted.) None of the people could successfully find a way out. Comparing the "Name check process" as a "case to case" process is bit a "over-statement". In the cases you have mentioned, atleast you have an option to contact USCIS. USCIS has an obligation to respond with in a specified time period. But in case of "Name Check process" as you might have already found , one may not expect a response from FBI. Its plain and simple. My case is exactly same as yours except my PD is Feb 27th and I received an RFE for Birth Certificate when the dates went current in 2008 August. Since then I saw LUD's for 3 weeks and then its been all quiet I am hoping that means application was pre adjudicated.
Folks, we had an interview in December of 2008 and the IO said that had the dates been current, she would have approved our 485.
Now that we should get current from August 1, can you hazard a guess as to what might most likely happen? Do you think we might get a biometrics notice once again since fingerprints expire after 1 year (my understanding)? Or do you think we might get a CPO notice? Or some other third thing?
Please enlighten. :confused:

2) The congress men thinks that we are illegal immigrants, as he is constantly mentioned illegal Irish immigrants.
3) Robert mentioned that as if its an India-China immigration forum, I think thats going to do more bad for us then good. I think everybody agrees that there is lot of bad news about India and China, and Americans loosing jobs due to off shoring. Apart from that we have persons in same boat from other countries too, though I was surprised to see them.

If the remaining 50% decide to buy a home after they get a green card, that amounts to 75,000 homes being taken off the real estate market.
This will not completely remove the housing crisis, but it will definitely ease it a little bit.
Legal immigrants have a very good credit score and the Lenders will be more than happy to offer them loans. At an average home value of $ 200,000, this will amount to Fifteen Billion Dollars which will work along with the President's Economic Stimulus Plan in bringing the nation out of Recession.
My assumptions are very conservative here. Even thought the average price for a home in US is around 200k, most of our guys live in costly places where houses will average around 300k.

10th is almost over and I thought we had this trend that when USCIS wants to maintain status quo they publish bulletin early in the month and if the bulletin is delayed there is strong probablity that there will be some positive movement
