However I have not don't any monetary contribution, and the reason is, I want to see some more transparency. I was not a July filer and I have urged IV and Pappu several times to hold something, a rally or some time type of event that attracts attention. But somehow IV does not initiate any attempts.

This is the only thread and issue that helps a lot of people in the process. If USCIS send the numbers correctly then we better of assuming when is our GC turn is. We will know the real picture and it will definitely open lot of peoples eyes to act in the future... So "Immigrants" please send the letters.
Surprisingly no experts have so far come and posted the problems associated with taking the legal option. I am sure it will happen anytime soon and then this thread will quiten down (just like the F### in the wind as somebody mentioned). As far as I can remember this idea has been raised and discussed and downplayed many times. Dont aks me what the reasons for downplaying were but very soon (if the thread gets bumped up frequently) some "elders" will post the reason why this action is not suitable and will not yeild any results. So hold tight for that post to come.......

Before EB2 moves faster, every EB3 guy will get a new LC and jump in to EB2 line. Then EB3 line will be little lighter and moves a little faster. Then people will start asking like this - "Can we go back to EB3 line ? Can we have 3rd EB3 LC ( like LC sells in walmart) and another 485 ?" . Pretty much everyone wants to have 2 LC , 2 I-140 and 2 I-485 at any time. That way whichever category moves faster they will beat the system.
Then we come to this forum and wonder why there is so much backlog or why USCIS is so slow ( my favorite one).

I think we should use this opportunity to lobby Congress to pass Legislation to help legal immigration that are least controversial.
1. We should be able to file 485 independent of priority dates.
2. Exempt dependents from VISA cap.
In my opinion pursuing a lawsuit may not help us much.
We should raise money to pursue lobbying instead of the lawsuit.
IV should use this opportunity to reienforc the lobbying efforts and fund raising effors.
For my part, I will contribute individually and willing to particpate in any fund raising efforts in my area (North West Boston area).

Well, for all of us not-so-experienced 3d artists, this battle is a very good way to learn many new things and techniques. I mean, I have no idea of winning this battle, but from using what I've learned, and combining new techniques, I'm sure to learn alot.
A quick question, what are you guys modeling in? nurbs? I'm doing mine all in nurbs, and i'm having a little trouble modeling a nice chair, like the one that eisloe had.
Not asking for any explanation, but possibly a couple tips for all of us here?

Guys.....if you want to change representation to self in your 485 case, you do not need to file a form G-28......G-28 is for lawyers seeking permission to represent you. You do not need a permission for yourself............all you have to do is send USCIS a letter saying all future correspondence should be done with you and you are representing yourself on this case hereon....follow up after a month after sending the letter to ensure they have changed you as the point of contact on the case........If you are substituting your current lawyer by another one, then you need a new G-28

You can keep writing to congressmen, ombudsman, push for visa recapture in lame ducks, ask for more transparency into the process but please don't send any flowers now and try to embarrass any govt organization directly. We don't know what effect its going to have.Instead go through the Ombudsman to voice your concerns.Finally, please get the consent of core IV before you attempt this.
