The guy at the college said to the FOBs (including myself)...Dress in your best suits, we are goin to a business meeting! all of us got excited. the meeting was attended by people of all colors. felt good that desis are heading it! then i joined paying around $250. Slowly came to know that its not my cup of tea. The quickstar guys have only few brands of softdrinks and other amway products, always nagging others to join in, faking a spontaneous friendship. The speeches they give at the meetings are all almost the same. they seem to have a standard text, and have an aquired american accent. they talk abt being financially independent, but losing perspective, friends, decency. after a few weeks, i got my refund, and pulled out.

Per country limit applies to every country in exactly the same way. It doesn't discriminate between Chad or China. So, how is it discrimination? And think about it- in Olympics soccer/basketball every country can send only one team. Should China and India be allowed to send more teams since they have a larger population? We should try to increase the number of GCs.
Do not evade the question, is it okay to limit the number of gold medals per country to 7% of all? Talk about athletics or swimming, not soccer. Do you believe there are "too many" swimmers from Australia or the USA in every Olympics? It just does not seem right... the quota system kills competitive spirit.

If PD moves to last quarter of 2007 within a year, then there would be no candidates (EB2), since all will still be stuck in PERM audits which will take 6-12 more months to clear + I-140 processing time.

I think this is a complete discrimination and if US wants to limit/diversify within EB category as well (which I think is absurd to start with, because this is employment based, all that should count is your credentials/education... ) then it should be somehow proportionate to the country size/population as well.

Assuming that the spill overs are effected only in the last (JAS) quarter, there wont be any significant movement for EB2. Until and otherwise the supply is more than demand, EB2 will not move forward significantly.

USCIS does not even succeed in giving out 140K employment-based greencards in any given year.
