I think IV should work on filing a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT for several reasons. Are we going to be coward legals waiting, for lazy folks at USCIS to undo the wrong they've done for so many years.
1. Blatant errors in the processing which has, destroyed , causing huge stress, trauma and what not to ppl waiting in limbo.
2. Inability to provide any insight on the basic timeline for any application. Look at the EB backlogs, they change there bulletin as if its a stock market, it can go forward or backward depending on the mood of the ppl working on any day.
3. Immigration is a burden on the legal immigrants, we pay for those ppl jobs. How can they offer such a sub-standard service, considering the hefty fees they charge from us.
4. The US constitution says " We the people", does not say "Legal Aliens" don't have any say or can't ask for justice.
5. We are legals, did not cross any border like those illegals, which this administration is so concerned about. We pay for services, not screw ups!
6. Lost EB visas for USCIS / DOS mis-handling.
7. Even if we loose the lawsuit, still we made our point. USCIS sucks! period

I need a car and home as I am paying rent every month around 1500. I am willing to pay 25% down and have credit score more than 700. No any kind of violation. Paied off first car loan. I am experienced enough to find another job in such bad economy. The only thing that I dont have is GC for which I am waiting for last 8 years. If I get GC probably I will get good loan faster and cheaper. If you lobby for us for GC probably not only me many other immigrant will get loans.

I can understand the emotion and commotion among my fellow beings who are stuck with BECs. I waited agonizing 5 years to get my labor cleared. We all clearly understand what are you guys going through.
But the thing is that Labor Certification issues are taken care with PERM implementation. Also the administration set up 2 BECs to take care of them back logs. Now the issue is purely administrative and not law making. Also BECs made it clear that by Oct 2007 all the back logs will be cleared.
Right now big things are happening in the immigration law making. So I think we should concentrate to get the best out of it and achieve our goals on the Green Card Visa issues. As Tom Tancredo is going to fight with teeth and nail against Immi Bills, we have to do the same.
There are many others issues we can lobby for such as
1) Starting H1B stamping inside the US again( Which was stopped in 2005)
2) Allow H1B spouses to work. etc etc
But I believe our priority for the time being should be Retrogression. I request all of you to use this thread for finding a person to testify.

If indeed the majority at IV believe that BEC is not a problem, then it would not be a stated goal of IV. Let me repeat, so long as it is listed as a goal, it is the moral responsibility of all of to support and work towards resolving the issue.
This is important. Don't just pretend to support IV and play down what matters to others. Your must support all the goals we have at IV and not pick and choose what you like.

Do a real exercise and get a lobbyist to sign a contract with you for after revealing to them that you have only 20K. Try it now with even 50K and see how many lobbyists are ready to tow your line
2) Regarding your talk of Erin Brockovich and all, you do not even seem to grasp the fact that AILA is interested in the 11 million undocument workers. 500,000 skilled workers are nothing but a drop in the ocean compared to them.
In any case, have you done your part in contacting AILA? We have! Its easy to sit on the fence and complain but it takes conviction to actually DO something

Do you know how much a fine balance the Republicans and Democrats achieved and are not ready to take on anything that might disturb the balance? My PD has been current quite a few times since 06/2007. Last time when I called TSC, my NC was still pending. My FP was done during 07/07 and I heard from some one in this thread that FP is valid for 15 months only. So what should I do now. Should I go for an infopass and take an FP appointment ? It appears that you are EB2-ROW. With that old PD, you should definitely take an Infopass and ask what is holding up. As per regulations they are not supposed to wait for NC for more than 180 days, unless something suggesting "name not cleared" has been provided by FBI
