I have money crunch in US. I have accumulated huge debt in my CC. In past I have sent some money to India, but now when I ask my parents to send it here, they tell it is not possible without losing 30%. This is what they heard from my bank. While waiting for GC ( which may take several more yrs !!!) I want to go for Life Insurance, Since I am at age of about 40 its need to be done, though I have enough of that in India, not in US. In that regards I just started evaluating different options. Plesase share your comments and experiences during search of Life Insurance.
(1) which is better to go for term life or whole life
Term Life is better , agents will push for whole life as the commission are more
You have to come to the term , till when you need life coverage, like your son graduating after 7 years or after 12 years you may not have financial liability towards kids etc
(2) I started contacting agents (mainly desi) and they recommend Whole life ( if you can afford premium). They tell that it is ultimately result in Saving, Dividend etc. So my question is Does paying EXTRA PREMIUM ( i think it will be substantially high for whole life) RESULT in EQUIVALENT OF SAVINGS OR DIVIDENS? or just agents recommends that because they get more commissions with that?
Yes they get more commission on whole life , basically you dont need , if at all you think then you can go for term life which offers extension after the initial period with same premium
(3) I see lot of DESI agents in New york Life, So is it due to their speciallity in Indian Community market? Does they offer competative products?

(4) How to search of best rate for Whole or Term Life, Does Select qoute and Other such agencies are good to their promise of getting low cost? Does companys that we get through Select qoute give Insurance to NON-PERMANENT RESIDENTS like US

With this rule in effect from july 2nd, what happens to the cases filed before in PP but it is in pending status with an RFE.
I had received RFE on my I-140 on June 1st and replied back on June 6th but there is no update since then from USCIS.

The main problem is that no one really knows for sure whether these steps are taken in sequence. There is little to no transparency. There are procedures, but we can not guarantee that they are followed.
To answer your second part. No, I don't believe there are any standard updates that indicate this, but I could be wrong. I think that there is an update if you clear it, but not if you are stuck in it. Make sense? For the past so many years of observing various forums and information, I did not come across the situation of pre-approval process except this time. I am sure that they will be doing various background checks to make the application ready for approval. It is not mentioned any where that how the pre-approval process is different from background checks? Are they the same or different? What processes are done during approval? I do not have any idea and hence I would like to keep the various checks and approval process separate.

I hope someone will provide some information regarding these clarifications.

I filed for EAD extention from NSC on June 12th. My EAD expires on sept 12th. I also faxed to expedite the filiing, but to no-avail.
On the side note, I met Immigration officer via infoPass appointment and it did not helped either. He suggested to send a snail-mail to see if that helps.

In Ohio expungement can be done after 12 months and I neither know which state you are in nor I know the rules of any other state. The best bet is talk to a good criminal attorney. You are stuck with this case for quite some time and u need to talk to a good attorney.
