Hello I am on H1B visa, I am going to India, not to return to US, at least for 3 or 4 years. I wanted to know If my checking, savings account's in US Banks will be valid or not? If so until what period? When do my SSN will expire? I dont plant to open any new accounts, but I just want to keep my Bank accounts open, thats why. Please let me know.
If the reason you are trying to keep the accounts open is because you want to maintain some money in dollars, one option is to open an FCNR account with some Indian bank (SBI for instance). They'll keep your deposit in dollars, and it also remains repatriable (in case you decide that you want that money when in India). The interest rates are also not that bad.
Accounts without any activity are typically marked inactive by banks and they'll try to contact you about it (after ~2 years or so). One workaround is to do online transfers among the bank accounts.

Approximately the same. My lawyer filed paper based for me and I e-filed for my wife around the same time , they came within 1 weeks of each other ( don't remember which came first ) , the only thing is , for e-filed EADs, you have to go to the nearest USCIS office for a biometrics , while paper based EADs have the pictures with the application.

One more additional question on this, say we open a trading account now and we buy shares in 2008 , but do not sell it yet (meaning no income was made in 2008), then will there be any impact or any additional filing to be made for 2008 tax returns, or how does stock trading relate to tax returns...

You can work for a while but it will be considered UNAUTHORISED employment. Accumulation of 6 months of UNAUTHORISED STAY + UNAUTHORISED EMPLOYMENT will make you ineligible for I485. That is a huge risk to take.....
OH law firm : A flood of foreign workers and their family members filed around this time last year the employment-based EB-485 applications along with or followed by filing of their ancillary applications of EAD and/or Advance Parole. Since the initial EAD was valid only for one year. these applicants are currently filing the EAD renewals en masse. However, some of these applicants are likely to face failure of receiving the renewed cards timely before the initial card expires for either the USCIS backlogs or security check issues. Those who face such gap should remember that the unauthorized employment will make them ineligible for I-485 approval unless they are eligible for the 245(K) relief. In this regard, the recently released 245(K) Memorandum was "very timely" particularly for the July 2007 VB fiasco filers of I-485 applications in that any period of unauthorized employment "after" filing of their I-485 applications is added and tacked on any period of their violation of nonimmigrant status and/or unauthorized employment which had been aggregated within six months "immediately prior to" filing of their I-485 applications since their "last admission to the U.S." For instance, if one filed I-485 applications with the record of less than six months of violation of nonimmigrant status and/or unauthorized employment immediately prior to filing I-485 application since the last admission to the U.S., he or she was eligible for I-485 application filing deespite their violation of the law. However, should the same applicant engage in unauthorized employment while they wait for the I-485 applications, he or she could exceed total of six months of violations when they aggregate the total period of violation prior to I-485 filing and "post" filing of I-485 application. 1) I agree with all who are asking you to quit and get your H1-B transfered, but my concern is whether your H1-B is still valid or not as your I-140 has been revoked or is still in consideration.
You can search for a company and file for a transfer and can still stay with this company till you get an answer. You can hold multiple H1-B's at the same time.

L1 has been in use for past 12 years...and the L1 holders have been working at client sites.
TCS never does grean cards, WIPRO rarely does, that too in 5th year of H1. InFOSYS rarely does. CTS is the one who does many H1s, L1s and green cards, green cards in EB1.
When consulting companies are misusing H1s, why cant companies like TCS,WIPRO,CTS,HCL misuse L1s...Nobody is honest in US. Nobody is working honestly in US. Less than 1% in US are honest. And those people will be working as developer forever.

I guess USCIS will go by the degree first and then look if the field is related. The lawyers in this country are pretty good in converting anything to a high skills job and justify the labor shortage. For a starter an US MS qualified guy can be sponsored for an H1B for optimizing the fuel stocks (read gas station attendant).
let's hope we see something, after 10 years in the GC process I am still 5 years off :( .
