From what i know, if you have an Indian Passport and a US Green card, the only countries you can travel to without any visitor/tourist visa requirements are India, USA, Canada, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Mexico (Thanks to Sunny1000 for confirmation of Mexico and Dominican Republic)

Dude the person apparently not in good mental state. People do crazy things with they are in such situation. Who knows what went wrong. May be he felt that his family would suffer without him and incorrectly thought to take them with him. He seems to be caring father until this tragic event. Please stop pointing finger and pray that god be with the families who lost them.

You might want to review section pertaining to determination of processing center in the I-485 Operating Procedures. There is a detailed protocol to determine this, and if they find it to be at wrong center, they transfer it to what they believe it should have been. There may be some ambiguous areas due to changes in jurisdictions by USCIS after your I-140 approval, modified process, or your moving from one state to another. In any case take an Infopass, and ask if you can provide additional information related with your case shuffling between centers. As you know, first hurdle to cross is to see that a center has accepted your case for processing. Best...

I have receiived the exact same RFE and the interesting thing is that my company is neither a staffing or a consulting company. Its a services and product based company.

I think its more than 3 since I got a notice about my 2003 state taxes in 2007 which they said they never received and I got stuck with a penalty ( although I was getting a refund ). Thanks Paskal, I fully understand now with the example of the Scarlett Letter. I need to get busy and get another waiver then. Maybe I wasnt very clear on my first post about my stauts. I had had only a first J1 from 2002 to 2005. I wanted to stay so I got a waiver that time, and I tried to get a H1B, but I couldnt get it due to expired documents that I could not get renew from my country so my H1B was denied. Now some years later I decide to come back and the only fast way to come was with another visa J1. So as you explained I need to get my case number and start my process all over again. ONce I get the waiver I will look for a new sponsor and star the H1B process all over again. I cant be very open about this because if my present sponsor realizes that I am doing waiver and everything else I may loose my J1 because I signed a contrat to work for them for 3 years and then go back home. I think it is very unfair, but that is how things work around here.

I really like these ideas and strongly feel that this would work. I myself have just now decided to take upon me to register at least 6 members by next week. Core members give a thought abt these ideas. Also put up a request on the registration page to spread the word and get at least two other people registered.
As I am writing, I understand there are 1900 active members and 5800 members. Even if 50% of the members bring one new member each, there will be a tremendous increase. And this can be done via internet: web and emails. Set a target (50% increase?),deadline (Oct 31st?) and have weekly count of new additions displayed prominently. Democrats did that for Howard Dean's campaign and the model has been used for subsequent elections by both the parties..
IV core had been very voiceferous, when we needed to achieve the funding target in summer. Can they become more involved chalking out a plan to
increase membership, if that really matters?
