if we shift to company B using H1 transfer should the new job on H1 be same/similar to GC job?

I bet you are kidding. If you aren't, then what I meant was various rules and regulations that come with each application, application process available from USCIS. One good way is to go to state.gov or to popular immi law education sites of lawyers (google comes handy here).

I have applied 485 during the july07 fiasco,I got 2 eads and aps,they have not even touched my case since april08.Is my case preadjudicated?
EAD/AP is personal choice. Employer can only govern what he has under his control - which is LC and I-140. He cannot chose to not allow EAD or AP, and you are not obliged to inform him. Good employers sponsor everything and the rest dont. But legally (i am not a lawyer though), they cannot do anything with you if you apply for EAD and keep it as a backup. Yes, if you chose to use your EAD to do extra work in addition to your employer's it may come against company policy. But if you intend to just keep it as a backup, there is nothing wrong..
Go to USCIS efile website and file it on your own (EAD and AP).

Just curious, why didn't you file in June 07? Your PD was current then? You would have been way ahead had you filed in June.

I took the gif into fireworks, looked at in the 4 by preview mode, then took it down to 32 colors... that makes it 16k .

it is a matter of how good do you want it to look vs. small file size.... anything else will take much more time (export individual frames, then import into FW, then optimize/export, then paste into layers, then export as animated gif...

Your company would be better off by submitting audited financial to avoid any possible RFP on ability to pay! Also ability to pay not only depends on current standing, if your employer is filing more EB2 for future jobs then he/she may have to prove the business necessity as well.

Did they ask you for the client letter also in your case? In my case the end client(TARP Funded) wont give any letter to contractors. Hope things will be better for you soon.

2. PD after Jun 1st 2006 (i.e. ,PD is not current)
3. There was an LUD on 07/27

This bill should be supported by all EB categories. 50,000 visas per year is significant.
As I understand, your GC application is based on your husband's I-140.
Does your husband work for a different employer or the same employer as yours?
If different, you can kick your employer's A$$ and they can't do a thing.
If same, they may be blackmailing you because your husband's GC depends on them for some time - 3 more months.
If it is the second case, why don't you just work on H1 for the next 3 months and then do whatever you want..
BTW, he can not do any damage to you or your pending GC in any way by cancelling your H1.. Doing it will put them in bad light for wasting a precious H1 visa by misrepresenting the facts..

Sorry I didnt make it clear about changing status to visitors visa. I am aware that it will not be an automatic switch.
I am wondering how difficult it is to switch to visitors visa status or to extend H1b for few months? Do people have high success rate or is it full of hassle (trying to extend stay on visitor/H1 status)?
ABIM board is an exam we take after finishing residency. I would prefer to finish it now immediately after residency.
I will try to meet up with an attorney in near future and discuss these issues, will be glad to share any new important info.

Do any equipment savy forum members have any views on the Nikon Nikkor 28-200mm f/3.5 - 5.6D IF AF Zoom lens positive, negitive or otherwise? Target camera will be my D70. Thanks in advance.On 1.5x sensor, the 28mm becomes 42mm 35mm-camera equivalent. That's definitely not wide enough. To me, attaching a wide-range and large lens to my camera, and carrying it in hiking, rain forest, desert, etc is not preferred unless you packed inside the backpack and take it out only when taking pictures. Then I would prefer two lenses, something of 18-35mm, and 70-200mm. That's was my Nikon days for 25+ years prior to changing over to canon one month ago.
