One has to pay taxes on worldwide income if filing taxes as US resident. He/she can deduct foreign taxes paid as credit. It does not matter if income is taxed or not in the foreign country.

I thought "we are getting married soon" is implied in my post. Anyways to be more clear ..we are getting married next month i.e. December. I have recently got i 140 cleared . Next month i will have my marriage done and marriage certificate ready. Her country of birth is different that of mine i.e. not India and is current for EB-2. the way i did it is i applied over internet using online AR-11 form. I did not apply by mail. Then, the next day, I called my lawyer's office and told them to contact USCIS to make them aware that my address has been changed on the petitions that are under consideration. For the people who use the online change of address path, i think everybody should know that there is more to it than just hitting submit button to AR-11. It then takes you further to ask whether do you have any pending petitions with USCIS. then you are supposed to say yes (if you do) and then it will take you to a screen where you provide your case numbers etc. however I couldnt get to that step due to some glitch so i decided to call my lawyer's office to have them finish that step. They simply called and informed USCIS of the address change.

The desperation of your post suggests that you don't need direction, you need therapy. We just need someone to give us some assurance that we will all be fine and live to see the light of the day on Tuesday even if DoS sends out a revised Visa Bulletin. That�s good. In addition to the evaluation, it doesn�t hurt to get a letter from the university to show that the degree is actually computer and mathematics related.

I am currently working on an H1B which expires in Jan 08. My question is regarding H1B extension beyond the 6yr limit. Is it possible to get an extension for my H1B (7.5 yrs completed) even after having filed my I-485 (I was able to file 485 in July of this year)?
As per my lawyer, if for some reason, my EAD renewal next year is delayed or the new card not delivered on time, I will not be allowed to work though I will not be illegal. Keeping this in mind, and also after reading numerous posts online, I got my HR to give the nod for the H1 renewal. My lawyer replied today saying that we cannot get an H1 extension as my 485 is filed and 140 cleared.
I was under the impression that I would be allowed to get the H1B renewed for another year. What are the rules / regulations on this. If someone can pls update me.

As I understand, Employer needs to pay for H1B fees. If the employee is asked to pay, it is illegal and you can report to DOL and employer will be in big trouble.
Dont lose hope, I think you will be in a better position with SKIL Bill. In the mean time, help us spread the word and to gain some capital.

How about thread "lighten up"??? Although its not relevant to Immigration, it sure is a good thread that helps everyone to lower their blood pressure after reading visa bulletins and other Immigration hassles.

My apologies if everyone is sick of looking at my flower images. This bloom is from what we call spider plants. They're a unique very open bloom with just a few petals and long stamens/anthers. Separating out one bloom and getting enough DOF proved very difficult to impossible. Would appreciate any suggestions.
