After all it is White Americans who emigrated from Europe who are the majority here. And we are facing the most fierce resistance from them here. What do you expect of those who are native, not immigrants or of immigrant decent.
When they need you, they make it easy for you to move there to work for them. When they don't need you, they can kick you out or make life so miserable for you that you don't want to live there any more.
Just think of what the Germans did to Jews in WWII. WWII seems like a distant memory to us. But "there is nothing new under the sun". People are still people. Their genes have not been significantly modified. They will still have the same thoughts and emotion. Only those who are better educated can be somewhat different. But educated people are never in control of their societies.
I feel that the oppression from White Americans in America is enough for me to bare already. I don't want to risk moving into White people's native territory unless it is just temporary.

This happened to me in 2006, we went on a road trip from NY to Texas and wanted to visit the mexican border. On our way back they were stopping every vehical. We were on H1 visa at the time and he only checked our IDs and let us go. He was quite nice. I guess they were only looking for mexicans, we said we're from New York and our vehical plates said NY and he didn't ask any other questions.
On the other hand, I know some people who over stayed and they fly within US all the time. They don't have ID but they show their passport but was never asked for visa status. Weired I guess. They don't even check the visa in the passport.

I agree that ALL of us irrespective of EB category will be impacted if this proposed bill becomes a law.
Just step back and think for a minute, what is the impact on the US companies due to inability of his bright workers to continue working in US? Will US businesses sit tight without raising any concerns? No way...
This is just an eyewash to get political mileage. No matter what degree of love-hate relationship exists between voters and politicians. Certainly, political power cannot, and never will, have a brazen bill such as this, that will hurt American economy more than anything.
Let's assume for a moment that hypothetically this becomes law...
What will we do? Some of common options:
- Move to immigrant friendly country, OR
- Return to mother land, OR
- Company will move its operation, and you, to continue its operations, OR
- look at alternate legal ways to stay in this country until situation changes, OR
- Become undocumented alien :D
Guys, we still have options but US of A has too much at stake to make this text into a law.

Process stops if you get laid off and No grace period - No matter whether you have a PhD or Masters from a U.S. university and have been stuck in the green card process for 10 years. If you get laid off after all your contributions and frustrations you are automatically "out of status" that very second, and are expected to LEAVE THE U.S. IMMEDIATELY, doesn't matter if you have kids in school, a mortgage, etc. You'd better leave immediately or you risk being deported and "barred from the U.S." for 10 years (didn't know? Look at the law)

Here is what he said -- that he is considering not only the EB-1 India excess, but the entire EB-1 worldwide excess being given to oversubscribed EB-2! I asked him about his earlier statement and he said that he had had a chance to look at the numbers and determine that unlike recent years EB-1 worldwide is not using numbers up at a rate that would max out EB-1 usage. BUT. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't see how the per country limit is unfair! It was set up so that immigrants from ALL nations would have EQUAL opportunity to immigrate to the U.S. and to prevent any one (or two) countries from monopolizing the visa numbers. Getting rid of the per country limit would most certainly lead to immigration from a limited number of sources (countries) and thus jeopardize the diversity of the immigration process. Getting rid of it would be like robbing Peter to pay Paul because those countries who are severely retrogressed now would only see limited benefits and those who are not all that retrogressed would fall backwards - is that fair!? It seems these forms are dominated by "certain" groups who have their own agenda and don't really care about ROW! It makes me feel uncomfortable being an IV member from ROW!

We keep doing feasibility discussions within the team and with our advisors before launching a campaign. We did work on some in your list above + more last year and got a couple of successes in return. Admin fix for 2 year EAD, visa recapture bill introduction are some.
I feel some admin fixes can be possible at this time and some advocacy effort with USCIS can help us get more efficient service. FOIA campaign is a step in that direction. Please support it to make it successful so that we have resources and participation to move forward.
